Happy Mother’s Day! To all of the special WOMEN out there, we appreciate everything you do and sacrifice for your families.   Mother’s Day may not look and feel the same way for everyone, however we appreciate the tradition of showing gratitude and thanks for the special women in our lives who mean so much to us.  From simple acts of kindness to delicious home-cooked meals to thoughtful gifts, we’ve rounded up some inspiration for our community for a perfect day for the special women in your life.

- THE DECOR -

Flowers are always welcome.  Not only do they they make a beautiful centerpiece for your brunch table, but they are affordable and are sure to put a smile on your face. Make sure to pick up a pair of stainless steel shears in order to trim the stems and leaves, especially if you put the vase together yourself!

- THE MENU - 

For a brunch entree that is sure to impress, we recommend Giada De Laurentiis’ Breakfast Tart With Pancetta and Green Onions! With this recipe calling for store-bought dough for the crust, it is a relatively easy recipe to make. The only chopping required is the pancetta and green onions, and for that we would recommend using a 6” Chef’s Knife or  multipurpose shears. You can always switch up the ingredients and add in whatever veggies you have on hand!

This year, we are making Food Network’s recipe for Grapefruit Spritzers. Calling for sugar, white wine, grapefruit juice, Campari and seltzer, this drink is sure to be a delicious addition to your Mother’s Day brunch. For the ladies in your life who do not drink, you can take out the alcohol, add more seltzer, a splash of cranberry juice, and a squeeze of fresh lime juice for a yummy mocktail.
